How Does it Work?

The Alexander Technique works by helping you to identify and prevent harmful postural habits, such as slouching, stooping and slumping.  This increases pressure on the joints and internal organs, which can lead to problems with digestion, circulation and breathing.

With the Alexander Technique you will learn how to become more aware of your posture, the way that you move and sit.  You will learn 'conscious awareness' and learn how to 'think' in order to overcome unhelpful habits that may be the cause of aches and pain.

As you begin to release unnecessary tension your body functions better.  You will learn how to live in the present, i.e. not rushing ahead of yourself.

A natural, upright posture can help you to achieve a happier, healthier and more fulfilled life.
